Hey everyone! My name is Carly, I am from western Connecticut and I am attending school at Eastern Connecticut State University as a freshman! As for my college major it is actually nothing related to fashion; it is elementary education. However, fashion has been a major part of my life for as long as I can remember.
My earliest memories of the start of my fashion journey start with a small design sketch kit. It came with a little pack of colored pencils, notepad and wooden model. I soon realized that I had no drawing ability whatsoever, but that did not stop me! On to the next idea, I started drawing and making designs on T-shirts for myself and my family. This unfortunately did not work out as well either. For many years I went through different methods of expressing my love for fashion. At this point in my life, fashion to me is experimenting with different outfits, taking pictures and personalizing inspiration from friends, celebrities and the world around (as well as shopping, of course)! That is why being a Style Guru is the perfect next step! Now I can take what I normally do every day and turn it into a conversation with others who have the same passion.
As for my own personal style, there is no label to it! Depending on the events that occur that day or how I am feeling, you never know what I am going to step out of the door wearing. In the summer I love wearing loose, free clothing with bohemian prints like the shirt I am wearing above! Along with that, tons of jewelry and ripped jeans always make my look complete.
