It was Ralph Lauren who once said, “Fashion is about something that comes from beneath you.” My name is Becca Harcar and I am a 22-year-old college student at Illinois State University, studying photography. I am beyond excited to start this internship with CollegeFashionista, because fashion has always been a huge part of my life.
Growing up, one of my biggest pet peeves was that I could never wear the same outfit more than once. That’s totally normal though, right? My style varies from very many different categories, but my favorite is shabby chic. In the summertime I live in sundresses and cute heels.
I would have to say my biggest fashion inspiration would be Jacy Dupree, you should check out her instagram. She lives her life damseling in dior and I think that is just about every Fashionista’s dream. This summer I will be traveling, photoshooting weddings and capturing all my great outfits while doing it.
Fashion, to me, is something that consumes you. I always am checking online at stores like Free People, Gap, Urban Outfitters and Nordstrom to keep up with the latest trends. I can’t deny that my friends also don’t have great taste, because they do love to go shopping in my closet for events. Most of my clothes are from Free People and T.J. Maxx, because who doesn’t love a good bargain find? I am so excited to be spending my summer interning for CollegeFashionista. It’s going to be a great season with a lot of adorable outfits and I couldn’t be more thrilled to have this internship as work.
