Hi my beautiful people! I’m currently a junior at Case Western Reserve University studying finance and business management. While my majors don’t call for much creativity, whether it is with fashion, makeup, or art, there is nothing more that I love than working with different colors and textures to make my life a little brighter and more glam. Instead of keeping my passion to myself, I’m very honored to be able to write for CollegeFashionista this semester.
Coco Chanel once said, “Beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself.” I couldn’t agree more; that is why I like to forget the rules and wear an outfit if I like it. Through my different phases of styles, the one thing I’ve learned is that, honestly, I’m too glam to give a damn. My style is a mix between preppy East Coast and anything European, especially anything I see in my home country of Belgium. In an ideal world, I would describe my style as glamorous business-casual with a generous dash of femininity.
For this look, I took a flowy, white, silk shirt and paired it with my favorite blazer. I love the very subtle shade of pink and the cute little bow in the back. I added some dark blue velvet pants to add some texture and light pink shoes to match some of the pink on my blazer. I kept the accessories light with a little gold necklace and ring, pearl earrings and, surprise, some pink lipstick and pink highlighter. Can you guess what my favorite color is?
I love this look because it is super versatile; I would wear this to class but also to visit my grandparents. It is fresh, girly, and reminds me of the spring I’m hoping will come soon. If you have any comments or questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to me!
