Hello Fashionistas! My name is Ashley Farraher. I attend Illinois State University and am working towards getting my bachelor’s in organizational and leadership communication. This is my second semester working with CollegeFashionista. I am looking forward to another great semester as a Style Guru!
I have always been obsessed with fashion and experimenting with new trends. I firmly believe in the phrase, “Dress to impress.” It is amazing the things you can accomplish wearing a good pair of shoes.This past semester CollegeFashionista made me realize my true interest in fashion and lifestyle. In addition to CollegeFashionista, I started my own blog. I couldn’t get enough! I am super excited to see where this semester takes me and what I can challenge myself to do.
For this look, I chose to keep it simple, but stylish. My favorite outfits are the ones that are easy to wear and fun to put together. This season I chose to invest in a cute plaid vest. A statement piece that I wear all the time. One trend I have been enjoying this season are bell sleeves. At first, I was not so sure about them, but then I purchased this adorable cream top with bell sleeves and fell in love.
My favorite piece of my whole outfit has to be my shoes. I have a slight obsession with booties, especially if they have a chunky heel. The tan color of the booties makes a good contrast between the darker colors of my black pants and vest. No matter what the occasion is, you can never go wrong with a good bootie!
