STYLE GURU BIO: Annalise Beebe

Hello fellow fashion lovers! My name is Annalise and I am a second year student here at Florida State, majoring in Studio Art and planning to apply to the Communications major this spring!

I have been obsessed with fashion, style and beauty since before I can remember, and that has only intensified over time. My style has definitely evolved through the years, but some elements of my style expression that will never change are my love for prints and textures. I am a girl who goes crazy over clothing that not only looks good, but feels good. It is something easily overlooked, but considering adding texture into your outfit can elevate a simple outfit into something chic and well thought out. Some of my favorites at the moment are suede, neoprene, fur and velvet, all of which are so stylish during the fall, winter months.

Speaking of suede, I am a cult follower of fashion trends and I am 100 percent on board with the industry’s current obsession with this particular leather, faux of course. Some may shy away from buying into whatever is trendy because of its lack of permanence, but the best way to get around that is to make sure your closet is stocked with the basics and essentials, and then bring in a few key pieces that fit the trend of the season!

In this particular outfit, I am repping my love for suede with this cute button-down skirt. I love this piece because it’s a bit different from some of the other suede skirts that are out and about this season due to its scalloped edge on the bottom. Honestly, it is all about the details, folks! I paired it with a classic denim shirt that will look good with anything. You already know that I love my prints, so unsurprising, I incorporated that element with these amazing, blue-hued lace and floral print tights. The slight blue tint of the tights pair effortlessly with the blue of the denim. Since it was a little chilly on this day, I donned my black cut-out booties and my olive, military-inspired anorak jacket and I was ready to take on the world!

I’m so excited to start this journey with CollegeFashionista this semester and share my love for all things fashion with you, rad people!
