STYLE GURU BIO: Anira Jones

Another hello to my fellow Fashionistas/os! I am incredibly excited to start a third semester as a CollegeFashionista Style Guru. As Bryson Tiller has said, “I’m back and I’m better.” The past two semesters have been a blast and I am full of optimism that this semester will be no different! This internship is unique in that it begs for attention to detail in what others wear. I find myself constantly analyzing an outfit for potential to be my next article. I can express my creativity through outfits and the photographs I take.

The best outfits this season will have cool jackets as their focus. The suede jacket I am sporting is a personal favorite! It screams chic while doing it’s job of keeping me warm. The brown matches perfectly with my tribal print boots that are made for this season’s weather. A simple black side bag and holds all my necessary Fashionista tools and a pair with aviators sunglasses adds a classic touch.

Overall, CollegeFashionista is a great learning experience for my own personal style and aesthetics. Coming up on my final semester as an undergraduate student is exciting yet nerve racking! This past semester alone has brought about many changes in my academic career. Through trial and error of several mind-boggling Economic classes, I have settled on a major in Communication and a minor in Economics. Previously, I double majored in Communication and Economics, but that was not quite right. I wanted to take more fashion design and fine arts classes so I decided to drop economics from a major to a minor. This was the best decision for me! Now, I can get my creative juices flowing while learning my preferred course material. I want to share my fashion finds and inspirations with all Fashionistas and Fashionistos this semester with the insanely RAD outfits I document. Photographing and writing about what is hot, trendy and unique is a prize internship. Great fashion comes with great reward.
