STYLE GURU BIO: Alexandria Draghi

Hi fellow Fashionistas/Fashionistos! My name is Allie Draghi and I am a sophomore at Sacred Heart University. I am studying marketing and business administration with a minor in fashion merchandising. This is my second semester as a Style Guru and I am delighted to be back to share more of my ideas and current trends for the autumn 2016 season! I am ecstatic to continue my journey as a Style Guru and share my love of fashion with others!

I became interested in fashion during middle school and I always aspired to incorporate it into my life for work one day. Lately, I have found fashion to be an even bigger part of my life during my college years. This summer I blogged about my own personal style for CollegeFashionista, and also spent most of my time eyeing new trends, networking, and gaining experience in retail. Being a stylist for American Eagle Outfitters has helped me gain a tremendous amount of experience that I can use in the future. For my summer blogs, most of my inspiration came from my past experiences, which include the 2016 men’s Fashion Week that showcased designers such as Palmiers du Mal. My travels to New York City and Miami have also helped me get exposed to upcoming trends and ideas. My passion for fashion, along with the experiences I have already encountered within the industry, have helped shape my knowledge for this season’s trends!

Autumn is by far my favorite season because of Starbucks pumpkin spice lattes, and the crisp air and falling leaves. My favorite fall essential pieces include sweaters, leggings, boots, scarves, dresses, and colored jeans. Above, I am wearing a Neiman Marcus dress, black and gold emblemed Tory Burch flats, a gold spike necklace and a Neverfull Louis Vuitton bag. This bag pulls the look together because of the classic look it displays. This outfit also goes from causal to dressy, depending on which accessories are paired with it. This versatile dress can be worn to a casual setting on campus, but also can be transformed into business attire with a pair of heels and tights.

Here’s to another rad semester of styling in the latest seasonal trends! Let’s ring in the back to school season in style. Please continue to tune in each month for the ongoing fall trends around campus!
