STYLE ADVICE: Surviving Florida Winters

In Florida our transition to fall and winter clothes is definitely like no other. While everyone else is pulling out their fur coats and layering techniques, we are waiting for the weather to drop below 70 so we can finally break out our boots. Don’t get me wrong, I love the warmth and this weather definitely has its upsides.

Something we Floridians can do is rock our spring and summer pieces all year long, with some fall accessories of course. It’s all about the right balance, you don’t want to look like its mid July, so maybe throw on jeans and booties with that off-the-shoulder white top. I love how these booties instantly take this outfit from summer to fall. The snakeskin detail adds some texture and the gold in the choker adds some much needed sparkle.

Pairing a choker with any outfit can really take it to the next level; I love that there are so many different variations of this trend right now, it makes it simple for anyone to rock!

Ripped denim is one of my favorite trends and it’s definitely here to stay. They can give any outfit the edge that it needs without going overboard. This simple off-the-shoulder top pairs perfectly with the dark ripped denim and gets texture from the booties. I especially love the slit side detail on the boots, a trend we are seeing more and more of lately.

This outfit is perfect for a GNO, but also casual enough for a shopping day. Try mixing your spring pieces with the newest fall trends to survive this warm winter!
