STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Sweater Weather Or Not?

November 4th, 2015 at 2:10am

We are well into “fall,” but are we really? It still goes up to the mid 80s during the daytime here in the most southern tip of Southern California. Is there a way we can just pretend like it’s “sweater weather” already? This Fashionista offers a solution to the dilemma. Embracing autumn vibes while still keeping it easy and breezy? I’m ready to take some notes.

A chunky, oversized sweater is an autumn wardrobe necessity. This Fashionista rocks an oversized, chunky sweater by folding up the sleeves to make the looser silhouette seem more put-together and structured. Also, the warm color scheme of her sweater adds cozy feels to her overall look. To balance the temperature of her outfit, she styled high-waisted, cool, light wash denim shorts with the looser top. She tucked in the front of her sweater to prevent the sweater from swallowing her whole. What is fall without a trustworthy pair of chelsea boots? With a chunky platform supporting you wherever you choose to wander, you are set for any kind of autumn adventures!

To top it off, she put on wide-brimmed hat to create a shadow of relief from the blazing autumn sun. By styling your outfit around pieces that cater towards the bipolar weather, you can kill two birds with one stone—embrace trendy, autumn vibes, while staying chic and cool.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Sweaters are easy, comfortable solutions to any outfit dilemma. The color is what makes the difference.”
