Sometimes we need a relaxing weekend with friends where we go out, hang out and forget about how many projects, papers and assignments we have due within the next 48 hours. One of the best times to relax is Sunday afternoon. The craze of the weekend is over, and it’s time to kind of get back into work-week mode (who else needs until at least Wednesday to gather their thoughts?).

I found this Fashionista grabbing a quick lunch with her friends on a sunny and warm Sunday afternoon. In a college town, its easy to be really lazy when pulling together an outfit and going with the default look of a university logo T-shirt and leggings. However, this Fashionista went the extra mile. She put together a chic yet simple look, and I can guarantee you it probably took her just as long to pair a sweater with jeans as it does for someone to pair a T-shirt with leggings.

What I loved most about her look was her sweater. Striped sweaters will forever be a style staple. Take a look at the Just Cavalli pre-fall collection for reference. If you don’t have a striped sweater in your closet, like this one from H&M, stop what you’re doing and go to the nearest mall or your favorite online retailer and pick one out. You can never go wrong! The second way this Fashionista made her outfit look ten times more put together was with her simple jewelry. By adding on a nice kate spade watch and a few rings, she made it look like she spent five more minutes getting ready when she probably grabbed them on her way out the door!

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “As much as I love relaxing in a T-shirt, I feel so much better when I put in a little extra effort and put on a cute sweater. And honestly, it’s softer than most of my T-shirts!”
