STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Summer to Fall, Mix It All!

Fall is finally here! We finally get to take out our warm hoodies, cozy socks and cable knit sweaters. As much excitement as we have for fall, there will be things we miss about summer, like crop tops, shorts and bright colors. But don’t worry, what if I told you you can still wear your favorite summer items in the beginning of fall? That’s right, you can!

Since it is the beginning of fall, the weather still fluctuates. One day you’re melting and the next day you’re shivering. This Fashionista is the perfect example of how to still get a few more wears out of your summer pieces during this weather confusion. While still keeping the annual fall trend of denim with her capris (which are actually a vintage pair her mom had), she pairs this with a basic crop top and a pair of black sandals. Her choice in wearing black is perfect because black is always on-trend. She added a statement necklace in contrast to her black shirt to brighten her look. This creates the perfect balance—not too dark and not too bright.

So for those of you having a hard time keeping up with the weather, here are a few tips. Don’t be afraid to mix and match seasonal pieces (yes, you can wear your long sleeve shirt with your shorts). Also, mix color palettes to stay stylish and consistent with the weather; for example, try wearing neon orange with olive green.
