STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Slip And Slide

As we enter into the warmer months, I am definitely noticing a trend towards more bohemian styles. I myself love boho-chic. The loose clothing, layering and lack of underwire bras…what’s not to love? In this recent resurgence of Free People-inspired ensembles, I have spotted students on multiple occasions wearing flirty little slips as dresses and I have one word to say: genius.

I myself am a huge fan of sundresses. They make getting ready in the morning so easy. All I have to do is throw one on, grab a little sweater for when my classrooms get chilly, and I’m set. So as you can imagine, I am more than excited to start throwing stylish slips into the rotation. The loose and soft materials make them so much more comfortable than your average sundress, and with layering, the possibilities are endless.

This little Fashionista has boho-chic down to a science. Her ombré kimono on top of the lacey white slip double checks that everything is covered. Even more important, the cotton material in both the slip and the kimono add major points in the comfort department. Layering the two pieces makes them look so effortlessly put together too. To class her outfit up a bit, she layers even more with two gold necklaces of different lengths, also a major trend lately. I would even take the layering one step further by wearing a white, lacey little bralette underneath. And to complete the look, the classic staple pair of Tory Burch sandals in every Fashionista’s favorite color: black.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Comfort is key! I hate being stuck in pants for back-to-back classes, so you can find me in cute, little slips like these all the time.”
