STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: She Got The Boot

I am totally obsessing over this Fashionista’s look. She styled a perfect spring outfit for Tallahassee, Florida. Any student at Florida State University will tell you that the weather is warm one day and you can wear shorts, and the next day you are bundled up with a scarf and sweater because it is fifty degrees! Regardless of the weather forecast for the day, this dress and these boots are the best combination of spring and winter fashion.

The tall, suede black boots are what caught my eye and are my favorite part of this outfit. They provide warmth but are also a fashion statement. Every Fashionista should own a pair of great boots. There are so many styles of boots to choose from, including booties, over-the-knee boots, knee-high and combat boots. I love over-the-knee boots because they are so trendy. I would style a pair of over-the-knee boots with dark skinny jeans and a chunky sweater, or if it were warmer outside, I would style them with a blouse-like top.

This floral dress is adorable. It reminds me of spring even though it is black. Floral patterns do not always have to be bright; they can be inspired by dresses with prints like this one. The cut out sleeves are one of the top trends of spring 2016. I love that this dress is modest but still shows a small amount of skin. Adding the black kate spade new york handbag completes the outfit. The Fashionista can wear this bag on her arm or carry it on her shoulder for two very different, but stylish looks.
