STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Plaiding for Fall

STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Plaiding for Fall

Hello there, Fashionistas/os! I’m so thrilled to be able to talk about the type of style that I love to wear. It consists of several different looks that are trendy, yet unique, in my own particular taste. The number one style advice I would give is to never be afraid to show off your own personal style, and always feel confident in what you’re wearing. It is always gratifying to know that everyone may not accept the type of style that you have, just as long as the clothes you wear make you feel comfortable in your own skin. Another tip I would give is to once in a while step outside of your comfort zone and try wearing an outfit you wouldn’t normally think of wearing. You just may wind up loving the new outfit you decide to wear, and it will show people that you’re not afraid to take risks in fashion. It will allow you to stand out among the other people that are hesitant to explore new trends and take risks in their own personal style.
Fall season is just about to commence in New York! Fall is personally one of my favorite seasons to wear outfits in. It allows you to think outside of the box with all of the clothing options you have, such as scarves, jackets, cardigans, sweaters, knee-high socks, beanies, fedoras, boots, etc. It is a wonderful season to showcase your favorite fall clothes to wear. I decided to go for a plaid dress from T.J. Maxx and stylish gray flats from Forever 21. The bag I’m wearing is from ALDO and the choker is from francesca’s. I wanted to go for a pre-fall look while also finishing out the summer season with a fun dress to wear. I normally don’t really wear plaid because it’s not one of the trends that showcase my personal style. However, I was just looking around T.J. Maxx and came across it in the clothing section. A lot of times we find cute outfits when we’re not even trying to look. That’s the beauty of fashion. So, I had to get the dress because I knew I would regret it if I didn’t.
I’m ending this article by saying that you should always keep your options open when buying clothes—I sure do! It’s the magic of style; never having a set trend or outfit you must wear all of the time. My style changes along with the mood I’m feeling throughout the week. One day I’m in the mood to look classy and elegant, and the next day I’m in the mood to dress like a tomboy. Always believe in what you’re wearing and feel self-assured in the outfits you put on! It’s something that I continue to learn everyday. I hope you will too.
