STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Party Like It’s 1999

The year is 1999. Destiny’s Childs “Jumpin’ Jumpin'” plays in the background and I’m showing off my dance moves rocking my multi-color New Balance sneakers. Fortunately today, this scene doesn’t have to be in our dreams (but unfortunate for those around me when I break out into song and dance). New Balance sneakers are back in style folks and I could not be happier! I love everything about the 1990s. From boy bands, to scrunchies to blink-182, it’s where I belong.

This Fashionista was certainly showing his love for the 90’s. Let’s first take a look at his shoes because, after all, they are the show stopper or “shoe” stopper… *pauses for laugher.* Anyway, his squeaky clean all-white New Balance sneakers pull his whole look together. He complements the shoes with a retro purple, blue and green tie-dye shirt. His Marc by Marc Jacobs watch is a nice trendy touch to his outfit. And don’t even get me started on the cacti printed phone case. I actually have one of my own. He threw on a classic gray cardigan and some jeans for a casual and classic look.

So, go out and buy you a pair of New Balance and a cassette player and shake your groove thing and show off those new kicks.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Don’t panic over a scuff on your shoe because every scuff most likely stems from a unique memory. Also, never be afraid to throw a dab of color into a swarm of neutrals.”
