STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Nautically Fabulous

April 6th, 2015 at 2:00am

Being a lover of the beach and all things sun, sand and fun, one of my favorite trends of all time is nautical! Many may assume that the nautical trend is reserved for the summer months, but this is totally not the case. Nautical pieces can be incorporated into our wardrobe all year long; it’s just a matter of not going overboard with the sailor-inspired threads. When I spotted this Fashionista in her super cute, yet still cold weather appropriate outfit, I was super inspired by how she was able to take a typically warmer weather trend and still stay true to the current season.

The traditional nautical colors are red, white and blue, and this Fashionista was able to take all three of those colors and create a more toned down ensemble. The star of her outfit would have to be her super cute anchor print long sleeve top with adorable button detailing on the shoulders.

She went for a deeper red colored pant that really gave the outfit more of a warm palette as opposed to a flashy one. She went with basic brown riding boots, as it was still not warm enough to break out the espadrilles yet.

Her accessories were to die for, and I love how she wore so many different pieces, but they still looked like they were meant for each other. Her necklace almost resembled the shape of a shark tooth, which is so nautically chic, and her bold bangles and rings added just the right amount of glam and sophistication. Her cream-colored bag was a nice change from the typical pure white color that accompanies the nautical style.
