March 25th, 2015 at 2:00am

Spring Break is behind us and the sun has finally decided to bring us a few days that call for doing just about anything outdoors. But, with temperatures reaching 75 degrees during the day and back down to the 40’s by night, we’re still stuck in a sort of limbo period with spring. You’re ready to bag the UGGs and thick sweaters, but it might not be time to dive into shorts. The answer to your dire need for spring clothing problems is simple: the maxi.

We’ve seen the maxi skirt season after season, but the super feminine and versatile piece never seems to lose its touch. There are endless ways to style the maxi that can make for one of the easiest, most comfortable and stylish looks out there.

This Fashionista’s look is strikingly simple and cool. She creates this relaxed look with a long, tie-dyed maxi skirt paired with a light, knit sweater. This loose sweater is the perfect weight and style for this time of year and should be an essential in any Fashionista’s wardrobe. She finishes the look by sliding on a pair of tan sandals with turquoise stones, adding just the hint of color this outfit needs.

With this look, this Fashionista is able to achieve the lightweight, loose spring style we are all longing for without jumping to a totally skin-bearing look. This outfit will look and feel just as great in the afternoon as it will into the night.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK?: “Don’t shy away from the maxi just because you think its not the style for you. Loose, fitted, high-low or pleated, there are so many new styles of this amazing skirt you are sure to find the perfect style for you.”
