STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Love Your Layers

Fall is in full swing and I couldn’t be more ecstatic. When most people think of fall their mind automatically goes to sweater weather, and that’s not totally the case here in the South. While we do have some chillier days in the ’60s, there are still days where the temperature is in the mid to high ’70s. It can be hard to chose an outfit judging by the fluctuating temperature, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be fun. Layers will be your best friend for the fall season!

Layers are awesome for jazzing up a summer outfit for fall. A simple black dress like the one above, is a perfect staple piece for adding layers. The lace on this Fashionista’s dress adds a delicate touch to the dress and the overall urban feel of her outfit. Depending on the layer this dress can easily be taken from day to night as well as summer to fall.  Adding a light weight jacket like this Fashionista, is perfect example of transitioning a warmer weather outfit into fall. This jacket is perfect for adding a bit of edge to her black dress with Babes Ride Out on the back. She wore high top Vans with her look that kept it casual cool for campus. This Fashionista kept her jewelry simple with two small necklaces, and brought along a pair of rounded reflective sunglasses.

This look is awesome for fall, and is extremely versatile. Finding transitional pieces that match your style and wardrobe are key for fall weather.
