STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Layered-Looking Shirts Are RAD!

April 1st, 2016 at 2:00am

I guess I was lucky enough to run into this Fashionista on campus the other day. I thought she just had this classic black one-piece dress on but look carefully; it is a layered-looking shirt. This kind of design has been very popular in Asia for a while now, and we call it “the fake two.” What it means is that it seems like you have one oversized button-up shirt inside that is covered with an oversized T-shirt however, it is just a one-piece dress.

I was very happy to see this Fashionista walking on campus full of confidence, rocking her layered-looking shirt with the Nike Air Huarache, Classic Glasgow Rose Gold watch and the cape drive hallie shoulder bag. Nike has produced many amazing sneakers that rock the fashion world. This pair of white Nike Air Huarache has lots of details in it. They have many layers that allow its unique design to pop out, and also adds a sporty element to her outfit. This Fashionista wore a classic watch from Daniel Wellington, which makes this look more elegant. Her dark blue handbag is from kate spade with an unlined design on the top and the well-known logo, the spade, hanging on the strap. All of these three products show the simple but classic features of this look.

Last but not least, the center of attention, the layered-looking shirt. If you look at the detailed shot, you can see the contrast of the neck and the hem. An outfit consisting of a button-up shirt covered up with an oversized T-shirt is great for spring because it is not too cold, or too hot. This outfit is originally from Zara, which shows how this fashion trend exists worldwide.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “A simple with details outfit could never go wrong on a typical day.”
