STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Fun Florals For Finals

In just a few weeks, school will be out for summer break and we will have at least one year of college under our chic high-waisted belts. But, before we can start dreaming of sand between our feet and the warm sun on our backs, we must first get through finals. Walking into the library the week before finals is like seeing a bunch of zombies all hunched over their computers and notecards sprawled across their tables. Tables are littered with room temperature cups of coffee, empty energy drinks and half eaten granola bars. People usually show up in their pajamas or comfiest clothes they own. It is obvious they show no signs of leaving anytime soon.

That same comfy style is usually transitioned on the day of final exams. Some pull all- nighters and just getting to class with a sharpened number 2 pencil is an accomplishment. Wearing a cute summer dress maybe the last thing on a girl’s mind during this time, but I hope to convince you that putting on a summer dress will be the easiest part of the day.

The weather has finally warmed up and it stays lighter out for longer each day. What better way to celebrate the warm weather than with a summer dress? A cute summer dress comes in an array of lengths and styles. From above the knee to maxi dresses, all styles look beautiful on all body types. Wearing a summer dress can also provide an additional boost of confidence. With a little more confidence, you will feel even more ready to take your final. Also, an added benefit for wearing a dress is not having to think about a top and bottom and what to accessorize with. A dress is easy to throw on and takes half the time.

This Fashionista decided to wear a just above the knee floral summer dress. The dress looks beautiful with her loose and natural curly hair. She looks effortless while put together. I asked her how long it took her to get ready and she said less than ten minutes. She did not have to worry about finding a top and bottom that matched or any accessories. Her dress is her main accessory and she shows off her own personal style with her black oxford shoes. This Fashionista is ready to rock her final exams.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Look good, Do good, Feel good. That is my personal motto to help me survive finals week. Wearing a simple summer dress is not only time efficient, it can improve someone’s mood. I like how this fashionista showcases a little more of her personality by pairing her oxford shoes with her dress. It is all about feeling comfortable in your own skin and what makes you feel most confident.”
