STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Fierce Floral

Nothing screams spring like floral prints and bright colors. This trend appears every year, so how will you make it your own? This Fashionista knows her answer and makes the floral trend unique with a fierce and feminine edge.

I spotted this Fashionista on the first hot day in Pittsburgh. She was so excited to whip out her summer essentials and show off some skin! She looks ready to lay in the sun with friends and show off her fun prints. The floral print of her skirt is perfect in every way. Sometimes these prints seem mature-looking or obnoxious, but this print is subtle and cute. The flowers of the skirt are small and surrounded by other designs to complement them. Traditional floral prints are usually pink, yellow and red, but the blue accents make this skirt daring. This Fashionista tops off this floral look with matching petals on her heels.

Wearing floral prints does not mean you have to look like a garden. Subtle flowers in unique colors will look sophisticated and fun. Flowers are a perfect way to get in the mood for spring and boost your mood as well! If you feel this idea is too feminine for you, try a black and white print or incorporate it in small details. There is no excuse not to have fun with this print!

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “My rule in fashion is to always keep it classy and fun. Find a print or color that makes you happy to wear and, not surprisingly, you’ll be in a better mood! The same rule goes for shoes, so find a pair that really makes you feel confident.”
