STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Falling for Coats

Happy fall Fashionista/os! Words can not describe how excited I am about that fact that the season of sweaters, flannels and pumpkin spice lattes is upon us. If you could not tell, fall is my absolute favorite season. I just love everything about it; from the red, brown, orange and yellow leaves that cover the ground to, of course, the fashion. I love fall fashion more than anything… seriously. Now that it is not 80 degrees outside anymore and we don’t care only about trying to beat the heat and sweat as little as possible, it becomes a lot more fun to put some extra effort into the outfits that we wear.

This Fashionista right here is wearing the perfect outfit for a beautiful and sunny 60 degree day. She put together an outfit she would wear on a warmer day which includes a pair mom jeans, a black and white striped T-shirt and a pair of black faux leather loafers, and made it extra cute for fall by throwing on an imitation suede coat in a dark camel color. I love this coat because not only does it make this Fashionista’s outfit a lot more interesting and definitely fitting for fall, it also adds an an adorable and fashionable pop of color. Even though camel can be considered a fairly neutral color, it still spices up the outfit and manages to catch people’s eyes. I really love the idea of stepping up an outfit for fall with a cute and fashionable coat and would definitely advise you all to try it out. Let your coat be the main focus of your outfit and show people just how fashion forward you can be!

I can’t wait to see more Fashionistas around the Kent State University campus bring out their outfit A-game this fall and get inspiration for my own outfits as well!
