STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Chambray Head To Toe

Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake appeared at the American Music Awards 14 years ago in coordinating matching jean outfits and surprisingly, this epic outfit choice is making a mainstream comeback. They may have gone a little extreme on the denim look, but they had the right idea. Chambray head to toe is now an all-time favorite look of mine that I never expected.

I may have been skeptical at first of the jean on jean look, but the trend has rapidly grown on me for a number of reasons. One of the most overused options in my closet is my jean jacket, especially in the springtime. I am sick of wearing it with sundresses exclusively. The fact that I can now wear it with a pair of my favorite jeans makes life much easier (and more comfortable.) Chambray outfits look risky when they are on the hanger, but I promise as soon as you try out the trend, you will fall in love.

The benefits of wearing chambray are the best parts about it. For one thing, you are super comfortable and effortlessly casual. There are also plenty of jean shades and styles that you can choose from to mix and match. You can throw on your favorite pair of your dark, destroyed boyfriend jeans and top it off with a dark, tailored jean jacket or even try it out with a jean dress and jacket. The possibilities are endless!

This Fashionista perfectly captured the chambray look. I admired that she rolled her jeans up to give her that spring look. She threw on a pair of comfortable Converse sneakers to tie it all together. The light gray graphic T-shirt added to the laid back look as well. It is sometimes difficult to match the jean on top to the jean on bottom, but this Fashionista nailed it.
