STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Casual Charms

We all want to make a good first impression on our classmates this fall, and going all out for fashion is fun and exciting. But what should you wear for those days when you’re looking for something a little more laid back?  For back to school when a lot of us will be getting up early and doing well just to remember breakfast, it can definitely be easier to stick to a more casual and comfortable look.

Added to that, Savannah is clinging to its summer heat so walking to classes can be a sweat soaked nightmare if you jump straight into fall trends and silhouettes. Thin fabrics and lightweight jackets can be an easy way to mix up our love of all things autumnal and the crazy humidity.

This Fashionista knew just what to wear to stay cool and comfy for classes. She stuck with stretchy. light wash skinny jeans with a loose and flowing light green tank and bumped up her style by piling on tons of Alex and Ani charm bracelets. Small touches like a gold Claddagh ring and a Dooney & Bourke saddle bag add a bit of personal style to an otherwise typical outfit. Throw on some trendy sandals and you’re all set!

We have plenty of time to pile on our layers and chunky knits, but for now we can still take part in that autumn feeling by choosing deeper colors and lighter weight fabrics while sipping on our iced pumpkin spice lattes as we stroll through the squares.
