If anyone has seen my closet here at school, it houses only one color: black. My daily wardrobe definitely highlights this, no matter where I’m going or what I’m doing. No matter what’s in style and no matter what season, black is always going to look great, make me feel great and work with whatever it’s accessorized with. This Fashionista caught my attention in downtown State College as she paired her almost entirely monochromatic outfit with a statement white faux fur vest. Once I approached her, I was drooling over her black on black layers.

As Penn State is (finally) starting to see some sunny days and temperatures higher than 20 degrees, this Fashionista was able to use the white vest as both the highlight of her outfit and her final layer against the mildly chilly day. Underneath this, she paired a perfectly fitting black long sleeve crop top with high-waisted black skinny jeans that hit just above her ankles. The ankle-length jeans were a perfect way for her to show off her dainty and adorable black ruffle socks that peeked out of her black heeled booties.  With all the black on black making her look chic and trendy, she was able to accessorize simply with a gold watch and bright periwinkle nails for some hints of color.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Black will never go out of style. I basically base my outfits off of a black piece of clothing every single day and this never fails me.”
