STYLE ADVICE: Casual Friday

I hope everyone is getting through spring semester with as few bumps in the road as possible. I find this time of year to be very difficult to get through, especially when the days are longer and sitting in a classroom is the last thing on my agenda. Recently, I’ve been on the lookout for my favorite comfy and casual outfits. Athleisure is a mega trend these days, but I keep telling myself not to live in leggings, so I went searching for the next best thing: casual Friday.

Casual outfits can be found all over any college campus, but when I saw this Fashionista rocking this chic, casual look, I knew the search was over. I went straight to the source to bring all of you this week’s style advice: a major how-to on the ins and outs of casual Friday. First things first, grab that graphic T-shirt that made you do a double take in the mall. This Fashionista said she couldn’t pass hers up because it is who she is printed on fabric.

A comfortable pair of distressed jeans will always go perfectly with a graphic T-shirt—bonus points if you grab your favorite pair of boyfriend jeans. I love the look this Fashionista has created by pairing her light wash chambray button-down with jeans. I can’t forget the on-trend sunglasses and rose gold accessories, but I am obsessed with her red sneakers. Rosie the Riveter does casual Friday, ladies and gentlemen, and she does it well.

The fun doesn’t end with a cute denim-on-denim look, though. Have your joggers been collecting dust in the back of your closet? Swap your jeans out for those, and let the compliments roll in while you sit comfortably in the library.

This is my favorite look to date because this Fashionista makes casual Friday look stunningly effortless—I think I’ll wear this every day.
