My all-time favorite morning ritual is pouring a cup of coffee (necessary) and listening to an inspiring podcast episode. Recently I’ve developed a love for bite-sized, interview-style podcasts where industry leaders chat with changemakers from diverse walks of life. From college and career tips to relationship advice, I’ve learned so much from these podcasts over the years, and I’m confident you will, too. If you’re ready for a boost of inspiration, here are five of my favorite podcasts to listen to right now.
Friend of a Friend with Olivia Perez
Hosted by journalist and entrepreneur Olivia Perez — who honestly feels like she could be your BFF — Friend of a Friend is a breath of fresh air. The podcast takes you into the minds of today’s luminaries, artists, and activists, and more, from Whitney Port from The Hills to Nike Master Trainer Kirsty Godso and award-winning musicians like Ingrid Andress and Maggie Rogers. Olivia’s style is honest, relatable, and her recent solo episode about navigating journalism after college is sure to give you a major boost of inspiration.
Hurdle with Emily Abbate
Hurdle is a wellness-focused podcast hosted by Emily Abbate, a journalist, wellness coach, and 9x marathoner (no big deal). Every week, Emily chats with inspiring wellness leaders like Peloton queen Ally Love, Olympic gold medalist Allyson Felix, and Natalie Kuhn of The Class, to name a few. Each guest speaks about their big wins and how they got through life’s toughest “hurdle” moments. Emily also sprinkles in solo episodes where she chats about all things fitness, mindset, and how to be your best self. Whether you’re training for a marathon or looking for honest life advice, Hurdle has an episode for you.
Girlboss Radio with Puno
I started listening to Girlboss Radio after my senior year of college, and since then, it has seriously become part of my weekly routine. The show was previously hosted by serial entrepreneur and Girlboss founder Sophia Amoruso and is now hosted by Puno, whose creative energy is sure to give you a boost of inspiration every week. Girlboss Radio features stories of inspiring humans that help redefine success, from Elaine Welteroth to Saweetie. Over the years, I’ve learned so many valuable life tips from this podcast, and I know you will, too.
Superwomen with Rebecca Minkoff
If you’ve ever wondered about the secrets behind some of the most successful women in the world, Superwomen is the podcast for you. Fashion legend, entrepreneur, and author Rebecca Minkoff shares candid conversations with accomplished women from all walks of life. In addition to chatting about their incredible careers, they also cover important topics like vulnerability, loss, life beyond social media, and how to make your inner superwoman shine. Some of my favorite episodes include interviews with Jessica Alba, Maria Sharapova, Nicole Lapin, and Nour Sakkijha, the founder of Mejuri.
The Marie Forleo Podcast
If you haven’t heard of Marie Forleo yet, allow me to put her on your radar ASAP. Marie, is the definition of a multi-hyphenate and has inspired millions with her book, Everything Is Figureoutable. I love Marie’s personal career story of leaving Wall Street to work at a magazine, exploring a full-on dance career, and eventually starting her own media company and coaching business where she helps people all over the world achieve their dreams. Whether you’re starting a biz, navigating school, or looking for a fresh perspective on life, you’ll love Marie’s podcast.
Whether you’re a college student in search of career advice or a recent grad figuring out how “adulting” even works these days (TBH, same) these five podcasts will give you the inspiration and insights you need. I hope they encourage you to think big, stay confident, and chase every career goal you dream of!
