FASHION FROM ABROAD: When in Paris, Do as the Parisians Do

Every young woman dreams of one day going to Paris, strutting the streets and pretending to be a Parisian for the day. There is something about the vibrancy of the city that just has the ability to sweep you up and make you its own. Every person you see is done up from head to toe in a way that displays their own personal style.

A fashionable friend of mine did just that by sporting a chic black outfit while we were in Paris. She wore ripped skinny jeans, an oversized infinity scarf, a leather jacket, classic black booties and a Parisian wool hat. The cream-colored scarf brought the mostly black outfit together with a cozy flair, while the leather jacket and ripped jeans gave the outfit a tasteful edge.

Parisians are known for their effortless cool and ability to mix patterns while also remaining minimalistic. My favorite stylistic elements of her outfit were definitely the leather jacket and the hat. A leather jacket is a European staple and the hat (while a bold move) helped her fit right in as a local. A Parisian would never wear an unattractive winter coat; they would throw on a beautiful leather jacket and set out to brave the elements. And why wear a regular hat when you can have a fabulous broad rimmed one to keep your head nice and warm? No matter the weather, Parisians rock their incredible fashion taste, and she did not fail to carry on that legacy.
