Fall Fashion By Fandom: Staples You Need This Season

Fall is quickly approaching which means it’s the best time of the year for fashion. Knit sweaters and boots make a comeback, PSL’s are in hand, and best of all, live music is at its best. Preparing a concert outfit is a difficult task itself, but the fangirling doesn’t end when the show does. Any fangirl knows that it’s a full time job to represent your favorite artist.

Outside of merch, fashion inspiration is found in items that remind us of them or certain lyrics they’ve written. Not only does representing your favorite artist help you find other fans, but it gives you ideas for some pretty cute fall outfits. There’s a reason why people obsess over everything Olivia Rodrigo and Harry Styles wear. We love their music and we love their style just as much. Here is a fall fashion guide by fandom, including Swifties, BTS Army, and more.

Cardigans

Taylor Swift’s massive fandoms fashion will never go out of style. With albums perfect for those fall months, it’s easy to go back to December and snuggle up by the fire in your favorite cardigan. You’ll see Swifties rocking these with red lips and rosy cheeks for the rest of the year. Swifties everywhere went crazy when Swift dropped her iconic cardigans, but you don’t have to have the exact ones to still get the look. Here are a few cute cardigans you can rock this fall.

Trousers

Harry Styles has quickly become an amazing solo artist and style icon. He’s known for making many fashion trends happen, including beaded necklaces and thick knit cardigans. Trousers are another one of those trends. Known for rocking a Gucci suit, Styles is often seen on and off stage in either a matching set or wearing trousers alone. There’s a piece of him and how we dress, after all.

Sweatshirts

Conan Gray single-handedly brought sweatshirts back when his hit song Heather came out. After hearing “you have her your sweater, it’s just polyester” everyone wanted to be like Heather and rock the sweater. I mean, fall isn’t known for its sweater weather for nothing (shoutout to The Neighbourhood for another classic). Gray released multiple colorways of “the sweater” as merch on his website, but don’t worry if you don’t have one. There are plenty of new sweatshirts to choose from this fall.

Berets

BTS has one of the most loyal fanbases, and one of the most fashionable ones too. The BTS Army is known for appreciating the style of seven members of their favorite group. The boys are known for many icon fashion moments, but berets are a fan favorite for fall. Whether it’s on stage, at the airport, or out and about, the boys can’t get enough of berets and neither can we. Here are a couple of beret options for you to rock this fall.

Dr. Martens

It may always be one step forward, and three steps back, but no matter where she’s going Ms. Olivia Rodrigo goes in style. Rodrigo has majorly jumped on the boots trend, but her tried and true seems to be Doc Martens. Who could blame her? Docs are the staple fall shoe. You’ll see livies rocking these year round, but especially in the upcoming months.

Little Black Dress

The undeniable resurgence of the little black dress when One Direction dropped Midnight Memories is forever cemented in fashion history. Directioners are still going as strong as ever, and the fandom likes the classics. You can’t go wrong with a wardrobe staple like the LBD, you can wear it out to dinner or seeing one of the former members of the band on tour if you were lucky enough to score tickets to their shows. Here’s some little black dresses we’re loving.
