CLASS OF 2015: Sabrina

As my time at Vassar comes to a close, I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about the amazing experiences I’ve had here. When I began school just four years ago, I never thought I would meet such an amazing group of friends, study abroad in the country of my dreams or write a thesis for my major. Yet I did all of those things. I met friends at Vassar (shout out to my fellow group!) who are friends for life. I spent a semester in Bologna, Italy and strengthened my love of Italian culture. I also wrote not one, but two theses for each of my majors, which is something I never imagined doing as a freshman.

Of course, one of my favorite parts of college doesn’t directly connect to Vassar at all. I applied for CollegeFashionista while I was studying in Italy and was thrilled when I found out I was accepted as a Style Guru. I have loved learning more about fashion and meeting the stylish Fashionistas on campus. Because of this internship, I am more interested than ever in a career in fashion or fashion journalism.

For now though, I’ll say my teary farewell to Vassar and embrace this new chapter in my life. I’m looking forward to freelance this summer as I prepare for my big plan: a year in Italy. Words can’t describe how excited I am to return to the land of espresso and gelato. I can’t wait to see my Bolognese friends again and live and work abroad. Who knows, maybe I’ll even get involve with the Milanese fashion industry while I’m there!

I’m ready to live the dream and look good while I do it. After all, fashion is a huge part of my life, and I wouldn’t want it any other way. Stay stylish, Fashionistas!
