So many great people have come from the state of New Jersey—Bruce Springsteen, Martha Stewart and, of course, our Rutgers University Style Gurus. The talent, enthusiasm and fashion game of this group have these ladies well on their way to legend status. Week after week, their photos have us wanting to move to New Jersey ASAP. It comes as no surprise then that Rutgers University is our “Campus of the Month.”

Fun fact: My favorite designer growing up was the now defunct Luella. When she (sadly) declared bankruptcy, she had a massive sale, and I truly considered buying one of her dresses for my senior prom.
Jannel Varona

Favorite item of clothing you own: Leather Jacket
Fun fact: I worked at Burger King all four years of high school. My friends still call me “Burger Queen,” almost four years after the fact.

Fun fact: I have become so aware of people’s outfits thanks to CollegeFashionista. That’s a positive thing though because I get so much inspiration now.

Fun fact: I’ve been dying my own hair for four years now, and it’s been every color of the rainbow (and then some)! I started because I was bored with my not being able to do anything interesting with my short hair.

Fun fact: I guess you could say I am a professional napper. I pride myself on being able to fall asleep within the first 10 minutes of laying down pretty much anywhere!

Fun fact: I have been running since the fourth grade, so I have a special place in my heart for athletic wear (my shoe obsession started with running sneakers). I’m running the Rutgers Half Marathon in April!
