BEAUTY BAR: The Tousled French Braids

Are you bored with your hair? Looking for a different style to spice up the spring time? Braids are trending on campus in a big way. Whether that be double-dutch braids, french braids or fishtail braids. The real question is, how will you rock them?

Braids have not only been trending on campus, but big-time celebrities have been sporting this look as well. From Kylie Jenner to WeWoreWhat’s Danielle Bernstein, braids have been showing up everywhere. Specifically, double braids are in. Now this is by no means a new style, but it is quickly becoming a popular style for the fashion-forward.

This Fashionista is rocking them with her athletic wear. Her double-french braids are perfectly tousled for a natural and effortless look. She looks sporty and ready to take on any sunny spring time activity that comes her way.

To get the tousled-double-french-braid look, first start by brushing out your hair and splitting it into two sections on either side of your head. Put one side in a low pony as you begin to braid the first side. When you start on the first side, take three chunks of hair from the top of your head and cross the sections. Start braiding your hair and add more hair to each section as you continue to cross them. Once you finish the first side, secure with a hair tie and then repeat on the second side of your head. Once you finish both braids pull on the sides of the braids to give it a loose tousled look.

What’s on the BEAUTY BAR: To recreate this look you’ll need some hair ties, that will not damage or fray your hair, hair spray, for extra hold and a beachy texture, and a comb, perfect for splitting you hair into equal sections.
