BEAUTY BAR: Smokey Eyes

This Fashionista’s ensemble complements her smokey eyes. Her smokey eyes are dark and dramatic, but aren’t too intense. This Fashionista calls herself a makeup artist and strongly believes that makeup helps to enhance your facial features, rather than refining one’s appearance. Her advice is to choose one of your favorite features and focus your makeup around that look. She mainly focuses on her eyes first, and uses dark colors to blend in her eye shadows. To apply eye shadow smoothly, she starts out with the lightest and the most natural base color from this palette.

This makeup guru keeps in mind that she wants to apply lighter colors to the inner eyes in order to soften the darker colors towards the outer corners of her eyes. She completes her eye routine by wearing L’Oréal Liquid Eyeliner under and over her eyes. She swipes on Bobbi Brown’s Smokey Eye Mascara to lengthen her lashes and also applies the product to her bottom lashes. To fill in her eyebrows, she uses Anastasia Beverly Hills eye brow pencil in brown. She, then, sets her face with a MAC face powder, Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation in the color NC 40 and MAKE UP FOR EVER Super Matte Loose Powder for under her eyes. She blends in the powder all over her face with her trusty kabuki brush. To wrap up her look, she uses the Anastasia Contour Kit to make her cheekbones stand out.

What’s on the BEAUTY BAR: To get the smoky eyes, you’ll need to buy the Urban Decay Naked 3 eye shadow palette to start this look. Then, to smoothly apply your makeup, you’ll need a face powder, contouring kit and a blush.
