BEAUTY BAR: Naturalista Fashionista

For many African American women, having natural hair has not only become a trend but it has become a movement. Many women are ditching those relaxers for natural hair products. According to relaxer sales are aimed to decrease 45 percent by 2019. The demand for natural hair products has increased and many women are rocking all of those curly styles. Many women are also on YouTube showing reviews on products and methods to achieve amazing natural hair looks.

This Fashionista is rocking a cute and casual winter look. The olive scarf complements her light brown curls and she finishes her outfit with some brown boots. She also adds some big pearl earrings and purple lipstick to complete her whole look.

The term Naturalista is used to describe someone who decides to wear their hair the way it naturally grows from their scalp.This Naturalista uses the wash and go method and also use perm rods at night or twists and bantu knots to define her curls.The key to having a cute natural hair look is to use products and methods to define your curls. Some products she uses would be Cantu shea butter leave-in conditioner, Eco styling gel, coconut oil, and Curls Unleashed curl boosting jelly. Make sure to apply heat while your hair is damp to achieve your look.

To create her hair style  she made sure to use the curl boosting jelly to define her curls. Eco styling gel was also a key part to keeping her roots nice and sleek.
