BEAUTY BAR: Half-Bun Takeover

No one is really sure where the half-bun trend came from, but it has definitely taken over the looks of women across the nation. Celebrities like Kylie Jenner, Jennifer Lopez, and Rihanna have been spotted sporting this look, and it has also taken over at college campuses. What is nice about this trend is that girls with all kinds of hair types can pull it off. I’ve seen it done with tight curls, stick straight hair, and all the hair types in between. This is especially nice when you don’t want to put a lot of effort into your hair because it can look put together with little to no effort. You can use a scrunchie or hair tie and simply wrap your hair around itself into a bun.

I love this look because it focuses on your face, by pulling the hair back, but still gives you the feeling of having your hair down. Another thing I love about this hairstyle is the fact that college students wear it to class, but you also see it worn on the red carpet with elegant gowns. You can wear it with almost anything!

This Fashionista paired her half bun with a casual look. She chose an oversize jean jacket with a floral top, black cropped denim pants, and rain boots! She left the natural wave in her hair, probably due to the high humidity, that came with the rain. She chose a black scrunchie to match her outfit, and gathered her hair at the top of her head.
