BEAUTY BAR: Fall Makeover

This time of year is always very stressful with meeting deadlines, submitting the last assignments and finding the right gifts for your loved ones, so for any stressed out student, getting the motivation to fulfill all these duties may be challenging. A solution for this temporary decrease in motivation might be relatively simple. Sometimes a slight change in our daily routine may turn out to have a beneficial impact on both our mind and appearance. So why not try out a new makeup look? As the winter approaches, it’s a great opportunity to reach for more vibrant colors in makeup that will make you stand out from the crowd and make you feel more confident.

This Fashionista shows that the bolder fall makeup look can completely transform your look. Her choice of the total black outfit allows her to do a more distinctive makeup look. She chose to go lighter on the eyes by applying pink and sparkled tones of eyeshadow, which helps put more focus on her berry lips. This makeup look emphasizes the natural assets of the Fashionista’s face and presents a perfect example of how a little bit of color can go a long way.

With winter around the corner we tend to change not only our makeup, but also the choice of clothes. We instinctively dress a bit darker, subconsciously inspired by what we see in nature. This Fashionista’s monochrome ensemble is an ideal complement of her makeup. A black leather jacket and boots give this look a little bit of an edge. To complete this outfit, this Fashionista selects a black bag with beige and burgundy details that pull the whole look together.

What’s on the BEAUTY BAR: To recreate this makeup look you have to start with applying a concealer under the eyes and over any blemishes. You can then use the bareMinerals original foundation across the face and lightly contour with Benefit’s Hoola Bronzer. For blush, use the Rimmel London blush in the shade of “Pink Rose” and highlight the high points of the face with the Balm’s Mary Lou Manizer. To create soft pink eyes, you have to prime the eyelids with a pink shade and then apply an eyeshadow in the outer-corner and crease of the eyelid. Afterwards, apply an eyeshadow on the inner two thirds of the eyelid and blend it all together. In order to create a winged liner, use can use the L’Oreal superliner and then take a brown kohl pencil to line the upper water line. To finish off the eyes you can use the Benefit mascara. As for the lipstick, you can use any shade you please and finish off your eyebrows with an archery pencil.
