BEAUTY BAR: Beachy-Keen

Ah, that first sunny and warm day has finally arrived! For what seemed like the longest, most dreary winter yet, I’ve been in such an outfit slump! Fortunately, we can now move our very distressed boyfriend jeans, cold-shoulder tops and mules to the front of our closets! There are so many street festivals, outdoor movie screenings and pop-up shops to enjoy so we need to get our looks ready! There’s something about those whimsical summer pieces that make us feel free-spirited after a long winter. But we can’t just stop there, take off that knit pom-pom beanie and let your hair go crazy in the sun and wind!

Those effortless beach waves we crave all year round are finally ready to be flaunted! This Fashionista picked to rock long, wavy locks on a beautiful, sunny day. She paired her waves with a flowy, eyelet camisole; I’ve always loved tops like this because they’re so versatile! During the day, it could be used as a bikini cover-up and at night, a cute shirt styled with light wash, distressed denim like our Fashionista is wearing. To finish off her look, she slipped on a pair of Birkenstocks to add a laid back feel to the ensemble. This outfit is for those in between spring and summer days but gives off a “ready for for the beach” vibe.

When it comes to rocking beach waves, your look has to be effortless and free-spirited. Like this Fashionista, keep colors light and neutral to obtain that light-hearted feel she gives off!

What’s on the BEAUTY BAR: To get this look, the first thing you’ll need is either sea salt spray or beach foam. On towel-dried hair, work the product into your locks from root to tip, then either let it air dry or use a diffuser to apply a little heat to hold the shape in place!
