Holidays always mean one thing to me: lots of shimmer! As the year is coming to an end, I can’t think of a greater way to welcome 2016 than with a fierce make-up look. At first, dark lipsticks with a burgundy/plum base may seem a little grim, but personally I think those colors fit well during the holiday season. This Fashionista sure knew how to work the shimmer and the dark matte lipstick and I am loving it!
Since this Fashionista’s outfit is simple, cozy and neutral, it is the most perfect to play around with the eyeshadow base/crease colors. For the lip, this Fashionista used one of Estee Lauder’s Pure Envy Matte Lipsticks in the color, Desirous. I enjoyed this look very much because its strong, but effortless at the same time. If you don’t feel comfortable wearing dark lipstick, you can swap out for a nude lip as well. As for the hair, no matter what season it is, I feel that loose waves will always be one of my go-to hairstyles. The loose waves give the make-up look a soft and natural touch which will give you more of a relaxed and carefree look.
What’s on the BEAUTY BAR: To complete this look, you need a nude eyeshadow palette, winged liner and a matte lipstick. To achieve the loose waves, you need a curling wand.
