The glorious sound of birds chirping and the sight of snow melting means spring has finally sprung! I haven’t seen so many upbeat and happy students roaming around campus in months since the cold had everyone down in the dumps. It’s crazy how a 50-degree day in March compares to that same kind of weather in October. After a long winter, everyone is ready to strut around in tank tops and shorts, but in fall we, were all shivering and pulling out our heavier coats. With warmer days ahead, it’s time to start peeling off those parkas and wool sweaters and prepare for warmer (and in my opinion, way happier), days!
March is a strange month in Chicago because the weather ranges from 35 degrees to 65 degrees. It’s not consistently warm and sunny, but there are no longer brutal winds and snow. What’s a guy to wear? Well, something exactly like this Fashionisto! He managed to find the perfect mid-March outfit, which is not an easy task. It’s still important to keep out that slight chill, and there’s no better way to do that than with a Patagonia vest. He layered this over a classic long sleeve shirt from Ralph Lauren, which, as almost any top, goes great with a dark pair of jeans. His sand-colored oxfords are also cohesive with his sporty outfit and are a perfect transition shoe from winter to spring. The neutral color goes well with every look and is a crucial piece for guys since it can easily be dressed up or down. His baseball cap truly gives him the ultimate sporty look and is also a super awesome conversation starter. Since he’s repping Detroit, all the other Michigan fans can easily identify with him and maybe even hold an interesting conversation about it.
How To: Have a great button-down you want to wear, but it’s still too cold to go without a coat? Add a fleece vest so you can stay warm and still show off your stylish outfit.
