ALL IN THE DETAILS: Go Orange!

With March Madness right around the corner, it is time for all top tailgating schools to step up their game. You may think I’m referring to the basketball players, but it’s the tailgating fashion that is really something to talk about. Syracuse University, named the top party school just two years ago, definitely sets the bar very high in both the sporting events and the fashion sported by the school’s trendy fans. The amount of orange and blue worn on game day is overwhelming. My favorite addition to the perfect tailgating outfit is a hat – whether is a baseball cap or a bucket hat, it always completes the outfit.

Honestly, the first thing to notice when looking at any tailgate (other than the hats) is the sea of team colors. Syracuse is no exception—you can see hundreds of fans dressed in orange and blue braving the cold to go and cheer on the Syracuse orange.

This Fashionista’s outfit is jam-packed, starting with simple blue jeans and a blue Syracuse zip-up sweatshirt. Underneath the sweatshirt you uncover a lace-trimmed shirt that is stylishly braided in the back. The latest key to being tailgate trendy is making sure to sport the perfect accessories to enhance your school pride. Her army Syracuse bucket hat and orange tinted Ray-Bans add to her already spirited outfit, but don’t even get me started on her shoes. These Vans were custom made for tailgate season. Blue is a relatively plain color, so spice it up with some orange!

How To: To match this Fashionista’s look, head on over to your closet and throw on your favorite pair of blue jeans. This awesome Syracuse lace embroidered tank top can easily be made at home (if you’re feeling crafty). Grab a baseball cap and you’re ready to tailgate!
