ALL IN THE DETAILS: Falling For Green

Who else is falling for fall? I know I am… and so is this Fashionista.

I noticed this Fashionista right away because of her ability to color coordinate and pay attention to details.

The jacket she had on is a perfect shade to compliment her gray/green shirt and the necklace and shoes pair perfectly. The accessories were minimal and that is a detail that stood out in her outfit.

It is getting more chilly here in Rhode Island, especially with the wind by the water. A simple jacket like this olive toned one is a great asset to a chilly day. This outfit also seems really comfortable for class while still looking dressed up. The shirt is a simple tee that flutters in the back. The way the top fell in the back underneath the jacket was also a nice touch. The shoes are a staple for fall — beige booties are a must. The booties have an old time feel with the high set laces and it adds charm to the outfit overall. Her dark denim jeans pair nicely with the other colors in the outfit and I think they are better than a light wash would have been.

This Fashionista did her hair simply and it worked well with the statement necklace. I too, like to have my hair pulled back if I am going to do a larger necklace or large earrings. Her makeup was simple as well and I think that works for an ensemble like this. For class, a meeting or a club gathering, this outfit is perfect and only minimal makeup is needed.

If you wanted to turn this detailed outfit into a night time outfit, swap the olive jacket for a gold shimmer blazer and swap out the beige booties for nude heels. The low bun works for night time; however, depending on the event, a top knot would work for the night and add a more elegant style. Outfits that can be taken from day to night or season to season are my favorite.

I hope this outfit got you as excited for fall as it got me. I hope the cold weather doesn’t come too quick, we need more time with fall — after all, it is the best season for stylin’.
