ALL IN THE DETAILS: Cold Leather

A new semester has started here at Hampton University, which means students are strutting around campus in new trends that they discovered over the winter break. Despite the cold and gloomy weather, this Fashionista shows how details complete a look while managing to stay warm. She shows how leather, a pop of color and spikes can make an outfit standout.

This Fashionista sported a black wool trench coat, which had leather trim around the collar, and under the arms and shoulders. She paired this detailed coat with a burgundy pair of leather-like pants. The color of her pants was very refreshing to see instead of the typical gray or navy colors seen during the winter months. The color was a playful burgundy that everyone should add to his or her winter wardrobe.

She tucked her pants in a leather pair of boots that had gold zipper and buckle accents. The boots added a nice touch to her look because they had an underlying imprint in the leather. She accessorized her look with a black spiked leather tote and a silk hair turban, which helped keep her ears warm from the harsh winter temperatures. Both the tote and the silk hair turban were great additions to the overall outfit. She completed her look with neutral makeup and a light pink lipstick that paired well with her pants color.
