ALL IN THE DETAILS: A Touch Of Bohemian

May 6th, 2015 at 2:00am

The weather here in Ohio is rather bipolar, so when Fashionista/os see a bit of sunshine they take complete advantage of it. The temperature is at a high of 65 right now and let me tell you, after the winter we just had it feels as if it is in the mid 80s. With the rising of temperature comes a shift in wardrobe and styling of outfits. You can now throw on a dress, tank top or a pair of sandals without getting nasty looks or looking like you have gone completely mad!

This Fashionista paired a bohemian-inspired print tunic dress with an oversized black bag and a pair of black sandals. She informed me that she grabbed her oversized bag because it is the only bag she owns that fits her laptop. With that being said, this Fashionista’s outfit is not only fashionable, but also rather practical for a day full of classes. The accessories were kept at a minimum keeping the focus on her printed dress. She also rocked her hair in a beautiful natural but tamed wave with a middle part. By doing so she brought another bohemian into the mix of her outfit. There is something I have always loved about someone who can completely pull off a middle part, and this Fashionista nailed it!

How To: Keep it simple, but go for a daring print every once in a while! Adding a bold print with plain or simple accessories makes for an amazing springtime outfit. You could also add a few bangles or a necklace if you want to transition the outfit into a less practical and more dressy attire.

Hi everyone! I'm Melanie Witzberger from Kent State University, but you can call me Mel. I am in my third year of college, however I'm graduating this August and am so excited about it! I am currently studying Fashion Merchandising with a minor in Marketing. I can not imagine studying anything other than Fashion, I absolutely love everything about it! This is my first semester as a Style Guru and I can not wait to see what this semester holds. The future is bright ( I hope literally), as I hope to move to California sometime after graduation. I would love to be a Stylist, Visual Merchandiser, or Buyer in the future. I also have a deep passion for all things dealing with social media and would love have a career that involves working with it!
