ALL IN THE DETAILS: On The Fringe

Fringe is pretty much all I have been hearing about this season. Fringe jackets, purses and  skirts have been everywhere as a result of the recent ‘70s style revival. However, if your signature style isn’t necessarily what you would call hippie-chic, how are you supposed to incorporate this boho trend into your wardrobe? This Fashionista’s outfit is the perfect example of how to add a touch of ‘70s flair to any look.

I love the way that this Fashionista integrated the fringe trend into her look with this leather fringe purse. A bag like this is a perfect item to throw your books in for class or to take out with you for a day on the town.

The black and while color palette that she chose is also incredibly chic and looks great with the more boho-inspired style of the bag. A striped button-down is an awesome, classic piece to have in your closet. It can be dressed up for the office or dressed down with a pair of distressed jeans and sneakers like this Fashionista has done. Whatever the occasion, this look calls for a bright red lip. Swipe on a layer of lipstick and you’re ready to go.

How To: There are two ways you can take the fringe trend. Because it makes a statement on its own, you can pair your leather fringe purse with more subdued items and keep the accessories to a minimum like this Fashionista. Or, if a boho vibe is your M.O., pile on the accessories and break out your flare jeans for a statement ‘70s look.
