Architecture—Charleston is known for its architecture. The Holy City is home to some of the most beautiful and historic buildings. As you walk along the Battery you will be able to see a gorgeous view of the harbor on one side and incredible homes on the other. Also check out Rainbow Row for a great photo op!

Sightseeing—Charleston offers a plethora of guided tours to see the beauty of the city. From ghost tours to carriage rides, there is no better way for a visitor to learn about Charleston’s rich history and bright present. As you are walking around the city, you will see tons of horse drawn carriages giving tours to locals and visitors.

Brunching—Grab a bite to eat at Poogan’s Porch. Be careful as you are eating, the restaurant is known to have a ghost.

Eating—Charleston has been known as the top destination for some sweet tea and big bowl of shrimp and grits. If southern food isn’t your thing don’t worry, there are plenty of other amazing options for any palate. Some favorite restaurants include 167 Raw Bar, Basil, Slightly North of Broad and 82 Queen.

Shopping—For the best shopping in the city head over to King Street for a variety of options to please everyone’s retail therapy needs. If you’re lucky enough to be in Charleston on the second Sunday of any month King Street shuts down the street to cars. This allows for restaurants to have tables outside and boutiques to showcase their clothing on the street. You’ll see the cutest dogs and the most fashionable people on these Sundays.
