ALL IN THE DETAILS: Off-The-Shoulder Style Holder

A major trend this season has been to bare those sun-kissed shoulders with adorable flowy tops and dresses. This style screams “romance” and is perfect for the warm weather and sunshine. I spotted this Fashionista sporting an off-shoulder top in one of the best ways I’ve seen so far. The outfit reminded me of a Spanish maiden, as she paired it with a velvet choker and sweet, gentle curls for her hair. A choker is a perfect choice for this shirt because it adds something to the space of the neck and shoulders, without dangling in front of and distracting from the neckline of the off-shoulder style.

Also, because the top is a bit on the “cropped” side, it’s smart that the Fashionista chose a design that involved thick vertical stripes that elongate her torso. They pair perfectly with her pair of black high-waisted jeans as well, because it’s important that the shirt is the star of the outfit, and everything else complements it without taking attention away from it.

Lastly, the shoes are the thing that ties the look together. Our Fashionista chose simple but elegantly-laced kicks that had a beautiful gold accent around the heel. These match the overall theme of the outfit, and even mimic the velvet material of the choker, therefore making the perfect addition to this look.

For her hair, this beautiful Fashionista played once again upon the romantic aspects of her outfit, and curled it while fastening the front of it out of her face. This hairstyle is so pretty and girly, but not too much for the look. And then, the ensemble was completed with a beautiful silver and blue, vintage ring. Perfecto!

How To: Pick a linen, off-the-shoulder blouse that has a simple pattern: think stripes, large polka dots or a tribal print. Then, pair that with solid-colored pants, like a deep blue or black. Finish the look with a choker and some small heels for the perfect summer look that’s perfect for day or night!
