ALL IN THE DETAILS: Spring, Sprang, Sprung

Happy April, Fashionistas/os! I’ve noticed that in the early spring, it’s easy for girls and guys alike to completely forget how to dress. The weather is awkward, our closets are still stock-filled with winter pieces and not to mention, it’s been snowing sporadically in the Midwest. You could be sitting in class with your winter jacket while the guy next to you sits down with gym shorts and a T-shirt. It’s an awkward time of the year for our personal style. Gym shorts aside, this Fashionisto dresses ever so eloquently for the in between season.

When I spotted this Fashionisto in the gardens on campus, I thought to myself “jack-pot!” Not many guys know how to pull off colors the way this guy does. My favorite part about his outfit is that there’s so much going on, but not too much. All the accessories pull the outfit together (as they should). Everything looks put together in a way that’s fun, laid back and perfect for any spring event.

Starting with light-washed jeans, it’s easy to pull together a colorful outfit. Grab a patterned polo and if your state’s currently experiencing seasonal confusion (like mine), throw on a bomber jacket to stay warm. Finish off the outfit with a plethora of seriously rad accessories including but not limited to: baseball hats, colorful socks, and of course funky pins.

How To: Slip some pastels into your wardrobe by wearing funky socks under white sneakers. Or throw on some of your pin collection to express your personal interests.
