STYLE GURU STYLE: SPRING Ahead

Now that spring has sprung and the flowers are blooming, it’s time to switch up our closets! The spring season always brings out pops of color in a Fashionista’s outfit and color has definitely been spotted on the runway. This spring, I have been inspired by some of the looks that have hit the Banana Republic Runway for their spring 2016 collection. I loved the pops of color in every look, especially the bright oranges and yellows. I was also inspired by the denim pieces I spotted in some of the looks and I liked that the jeans were distressed. Distressing denim is always a perfect way to transition your winter jeans to a more spring feel and to be comfortable in the warmer weather.

I incorporated some of the characteristics and trends that I saw on the Banana Republic runway into the spring outfit I am rocking in the photos above. This was a great and comfortable outfit for my day of classes. The pop of color from my crop top definitely expressed the spring look I was going for and blended well when paired with my high-waisted distressed denim.I wore nude flats with this outfit but I feel as though this outfit can be flexible and can definitely be dressed up by adding a pair of strappy heels and this look would be great for a Sunday brunch!

Get My Look: 1. Pastel orange crop top. 2. High-waisted custom distressed denim. 3. Gold cat eye shape sunglasses.
