ALL IN THE DETAILS: Cape-ability

Welcome back to another one of my articles, fellow Fashionistas and Fashionistos! Here in New York City, summer is definitely over and Iโ€™m quite sad to say that fall is coming to an end as well. The weather has just been getting colder and colder, and Iโ€™m trying to find ways to keep warm while still looking fashionable. Iโ€™m sure Iโ€™m not the only one with this problem.

Last year, blanket scarves were the rave that everyone was talking about and hunting for. Donโ€™t get me wrong, I still love me some blanket scarves, but this season Iโ€™ve been seeing capes and ponchos. With my lack of height, I find that most capes and ponchos are too big, but I will not give up and will continue my hunt for the perfect cape! I love how capes act as a blanket, so itโ€™s pretty much like youโ€™re rolling out of bed and taking your blanket out with you.

This Fashionistoโ€™s long, drape-y cape caught my attention, and I knew I had to photograph it. He kept the rest of his outfit very simple by just wearing a plain white T-shirt, some black joggers and combat boots. You canโ€™t leave out the accessories! This Fashionisto decided to wear all silver jewelry on his fingers and wrists, while adding a touch of blue with his gorgeous gem necklace. His outfit was super casual and simple, but the outfit got instantly more trendy by adding a few fabulous accessories!

How To: Find yourself cold in class? In restaurants? At a friendโ€™s house? Throw on a cape and itโ€™ll work as a two-in-one. Itโ€™ll be the perfect accessory to any outfit as well as the perfect blanket!
