WHAT TO WEAR: Weekend Wear

Unfortunately, the weeks seem to feel much longer as the school year approaches an end. Not much “me” time is allotted for with the imminent presence of finals lurking on campus. Sure, we spend our weekdays being studious but all deserving students need a break. That is what the weekend is for. I have found that the best way to get through the pressures of finals is to plan weekend adventures. The reminder that I have something to look forward to motivates me throughout the week. What motivates me even more? Planning a fabulous outfit to go along with the outing.

This Fashionisto opted for a casual outfit to parallel his casual weekend vibe. On top, he wears a chambray short sleeve button-up. I admired the detailing on the rolled up sleeves. As I zoomed in to capture the designs on my camera, I noticed that each sleeve displayed a different pattern. Although small, this unique detail adds spunk and personality to his overall look. He paired his top with a pair of khaki shorts, which are perfect for the Florida heat. On his feet, he wore white Vans with black ankle socks. You never know where the weekend will whisk you away to. Sneakers are a sensible shoe choice for all adventures, both known and unknown.

Men can accessorize too. On his left wrist he wore a braided rope bracelet. He told me it belongs to a friend and wearing is like having a piece of her with him. Sentimental details are meaningful and add special detail to an outfit. On his right wrist, he wore an all white watch. The piece is sleek and modern. Although simple, it stands out and sets him apart.

One Simple Change: You and your special someone have a full Saturday planned. After spending the day playing Frisbee and picnicking in the park, you head out for a romantic date night. Swap out the shorts for khaki pants and slip on an open cardigan for a more polished look.
